About me

Here's an attempt to tell you a bit about myself:

I'm an incredibly blessed man: husband to a remarkable woman and father of three energetic young boys.

I've been around the block a few times, made my share of mistakes, and hopefully learned from them.

Coming from a blue-collar upbringing, I understand the utility and necessity of hard work. In my younger years, I held many jobs that provided a frame of reference for understanding different people and ways of doing things, which gave me a unique perspective on the world.

After college, I worked as a daily news reporter before taking a job as a firefighter with the New York City Fire Department. I loved every minute, but severe line-of-duty injuries forced me to leave.

Unsure of my path, I made an unexpected return to the classroom. This led to two master's degrees—one in History and another in secondary education—and a clear new direction: teaching and coaching. My path then led me to the Youth Coaching Institute (YCI). There, I completed rigorous coaching certification programs, accredited by the International Coaching Federation. This is where I learned to adhere to the highest standards of professional coaching to equip men with the means and mindset to achieve and build a prosperous life—not just for themselves, but for the people who matter most: their families, loved ones, and communities.

Today, I strive to channel my past experiences and passion into the classroom and beyond, deeply committed to guiding young men through the transformative power of teamwork, focused effort, and, most importantly, honest relationships.
